Method and Assumptions: Using the Checklist
Each checked item adds one to the progress total. Twelve checked items complete the preparation list; this is a record of your own progress rather than certification of an electrical installation. Notes and ticks remain in the current page, and reset clears both. Printing uses the browser's print controls.
The items cover the job address, observed symptoms or fitting changes, product supply, safe access, dwelling context, contractor licence, written scope and applicable completion paperwork. The list assumes you use details already known safely; it does not ask you to open fittings, inspect fixed wiring or repeatedly reset protection.
Check the licensed-work boundary through the Queensland Electrical Safety Office. For dwelling-specific smoke-alarm questions, use the Queensland Fire Department guidance. The electrician still needs to assess the installation, explain the scope and confirm the appropriate documentation.
For a mixed fitting request, start with the job scope planner. For the particular installation or recurring fault, use the service guides. For fire, electric shock or immediate danger, call 000.
